Christmas Essentials
Champagne & sparkling wine
Some events begin with a klaxon, some with a starting pistol, but Christmas begins with the pop of a champagne cork and we think these fantastic sparkling wines are the perfect way to get it underway.
Crisp, dry whites
Perfect to accompany those Christmas morning canapés and keep the palate refreshed before the main event.
Chardonnay & white Burgundy
Chardonnay, and white Burgundy in particular, make very happy bedfellows. With its richness and concentration the Chardonnay can stand up to the flavours of stuffing, cranberry sauce, sausages and other trimmings whilst giving an elegant, sophisticated and indulgent drinking experience.
Pinot Noir & red Burgundy
Pinot Noir. noun, sing. - Grape variety from which all red Burgundy is made. Roundly disliked by turkeys.
In the same way as cranberry sauce has evolved over time to become the natural partner to turkey, with its vibrant red fruitiness and fat-cutting acidity, so too has Pinot Noir, the liveliest and most seductive of all our reds.
Pinot Noirs these are not, but we had to sneak them in as they are gorgeous, high-toned, silky reds that will appeal to Pinot Noir-lovers like us...
Rich, winter-warming reds
Not everyone's Christmas dinner revolves around turkey, so if you want something richer with a fuller figure to enjoy with your roast or to sink into a comfortable armchair with, then take a look here.
