A wonderfully delicate and perfumed red Burgundy that is as soft as a chinchilla’s chin. Almost all the words I wrote down in my tasting-note refer to the wine’s texture (silky, elegant, finessed, pure), rather than the flavours, because it leaves such a delicate impression on the palate. Cherry, blood orange, strawberry and damask rose glide across the palate of this very fine Premier Cru made from the rare Pinot Fin clone, which has thick skins and small berries, imparting intense flavour to the wine, without the need for heavy extraction.
